Tirana International Airport Nënë Tereza is the main airport serving Tirana, the capital city of Albania. It is located approximately 17 km northwest of Tirana's city center and is named after the Albanian Roman Catholic nun and missionary, Mother Teresa.
The airport has a single terminal building with two floors and a capacity to handle up to 1.8 million passengers per year. The terminal has a range of facilities, including shops, restaurants, cafes, currency exchange services, ATMs, and a duty-free area.
There are several airlines that operate out of Tirana Airport, including national carrier Air Albania and other international airlines such as Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, Alitalia, and Wizz Air. The airport offers flights to several destinations throughout Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
